A long time ago, I graduated from the Technical College for Electronics and Communications Engineering in Rankweil. I completed a business degree at the University of Innsbruck. I worked as a financial controller and soon became a freelance filmmaker. During this time, I worked as a ski instructor, rafting guide, kayak instructor, and high-ropes instructor. I could list many more things I tried during this time, but still didn't find the right fit until I decided to become a
Beekeeper
Although I grew up with bees thanks to my father, and I've been involved with bees for almost 40 years now, I haven't dared to make beekeeping my profession until now. My father always said: "Beekeeping may be the most wonderful hobby, but unfortunately, you can't make a living from it in our region. The yield fluctuations are too great, and it's quite possible that there will be no honey at all for two or three years, no matter how many colonies you have."
This made it clear that I had to find something else, and of course, it had to be fun and useful. Trying out new things and developing and implementing ideas has always been a passion of mine. And what would be better if it also involved bees? My decision was then clear: I wanted to develop products for beekeeping and bees. These products should make the beekeeper's work easier and improve the bees' living conditions.
This has led to the creation of the beekeeping platform 4Bees.at, which I am currently managing very intensively alongside my 110 bee colonies and which I hope will soon grow as much as my beekeeping.
